We use our experience and knowledge of other drinking water systems to share best practices observed at other municipalities. We don’t come in and tell you how to improve, we make suggestions for changes that may fit with your operations. 

A key requirement of the Drinking Water Quality Management Standard (DWQMS) is to have a process in place to manage organizational changes. While many municipalities have processes to manage certified operator shortages, ensure overall responsible operator coverage, or to onboard new licenced operators, few have a process in place to provide coverage for and/or onboard new QMS Reps. This position is critical to ensuring that the municipality stays in conformance with the DWQMS. During a position vacancy or during a probationary period, there is an increased risk of a nonconformance occurring due to the lack of oversight.

Municipal Water Solutions Inc. has two options to help reduce risk during these transition periods: providing temporary QMS Rep coverage and/or creating and delivering a customized QMS Rep onboarding program.
